When an ‘attach file’ exceeds the limit

I notice sometimes when I write a post and use the attach file option to include a picture, I get an alert to say the file size is too big. The original text I’ve typed still appears and looks like it hasn’t posted. (I’m using the touch site)

I might decide to go get a different image or resize the image and use the attach option again and again until it works or fails but unknowingly I end up with a double or triple post.

Eg you might want to tell Boardsies about an offer in bargain alerts and want to attach an image which explains the offer by way of ‘attach link’ but when it fails as it exceeds the file size and the post is created anyway, the post makes no sense.

Sometimes a post without the intended ‘attach link option’ doesn’t make sense to users.

If the OP decides not to share the information in a post as they can’t convey the bargain without the attachment the OP may not know an incomplete post has been created anyway.

I don’t know if it happens when attaching an embedded image as I don’t use those but is there a better way for the attach link option to work so that a failed attach link option doesn’t result in the post being made anyway.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
