Anti-slip spray for older dog on wooden floors?

    Hi there,

    Would anyone have suggestions on an anti-slip spray or balm for an older labrador who has been slipping on wooden floors lately? I've googled it but would appreciate anyone's first hand experience with the sprays/balms. I am looking for something lick proof and natural ingredients. I have read that beeswax is an excellent anti-slip ingredient.

    No experience of sprays / balms as I always found balms made the floors more slippy..

    I got this stuff for my dog who had hip dysplasia- it’s good but is hard to get onto the pads if your dogs not cooperate

    Thanks for the information, that's really helpful. I'm going to look into getting the paw friction stuff I think, I have a feeling our chap would try to eat the toe covers off.

    + 1 for the yoga mats, we place them where the dogs sleep and in areas of the apartment they like to lie & we taped them down so they don’t move.

    I find runners better than yoga mats. They’re not slippy when wet and also because we’re still finding bits of yoga mat from when I had them down months ago! I’ve also been trying toe grips for Bailey and was surprised by how long they’ve lasted and how well they work. You need a cooperative dog for them though - Bailey isn’t mad about me touching his toes so it took me a few days doing a few a a time.
