Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
There are a few threads on this already but cant find an answer.

If a builder is bringing a medium size house up to spec during an extension with interconnected mains smoke and heat alarms, what are the options to connect up the detectors to a HKC panel so the app can send an alert.

    Thanks in advance

Assuming they are the standard 220 v main supply smoke detectors

If you want to connect to the HKC system you need to fit the wire free smoke detector and program it into the system. You can also get Carbon monoxide and rate of rise heat detectors bit you won`t be able t use whats in your house already. These are HKC products

If your smoke/heat alarms are mains + battery Ei Electronics and all interconnected you can fit a relay base (ei128rbu) to any of the detectors, I have this setup and have wired zone 1 of my hkc1070 panel through the volt free contacts of the relay base, when any detector is activated the relay opens and the panel goes into Fire Alarm, this gives app/sms alerts and external/internal bell sounds. I also switch off the sockets this way when the panel alarms but with a different relay base.

    Thanks Drifter and ShaneE90.

"ei128rbu" is exactly what I was looking for. Brilliant.

"I also switch off the sockets this way when the panel alarms but with a different relay base." - All the sockets in the house? Cool idea. So do you have a big relay on the meter side of the RCDs to catch them all?
