Ha, the shop couldn't replace by broken Rift so eventually, they offered a Rift S for $50 more.

I deleted the opening post because I started to doubt it would happen, but I'm going to the shop in a while to get it. Here's to hoping it works my laptop like the old one did. It has displayport so it should be ok.
