Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thule ProRide 598 bike rack for €90 new on eBay from Germany (+€15 postage). Only quirk is it has Volvo branding.

They're €145 in Halfords, Chain Reaction Cycles etc.

    https://ebay.us/IIBp3s

I offered €80 each for two and seller counter offered €85. €15 postage covers both. So around €92 each delivered for two.

Seller has 100% positive with 1464 feedback reviews so appears very reliable.

Thanks for posting OP - I like Thule products but they're usually very overpriced.

Maybe I'm being a bit thick but can you please rephrase the "each for 2" wording used twice here as every time I read it I arrive at a different conclusion as to how many of these you have bought and for how much?!

OP bought 2 for a sum total of €185 including shipping (€85 + €85 + €15), or ~€92 per unit delivered (€92.50 if being exact with the listed figures).

These arrived during the week - really solid bit of kit!

One box was damaged in transit and the end cap missing on the rack - contacted the seller and they've shipped out a replacement part. Involve came from a Volvo Service Centre, must be a stock of accessories they're trying to clear.

    New to this

Is this bike mount specific to any Thule roof bars?

No it'll mount to standard T-Track roof bars. Also has an adapter for non T-Track roof bars, not sure the details of what the limitations of the adapter option are.

Thule is expensive but not overpriced. You can tell the quality, everything works perfectly and is thought out well, if you get a cheap knock off its just not going to be as good, thats why its cheaper. :D

I spent a small fortune on a towbar rack last year and usually would go for the cheaper option but was and still am really impressed at the quality, its awesome!

And you can buy it on the bike to work scheme if you find a bike shop that also sells racks
