Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Just want some information regarding the applicability for a 3rd level grant.

Here is story. Girl goes to college (TCD), mother gets full grant despite living in Bray. Mother is widowed 15 years and doesnt work, is there such a thing as a widows grant? She also gets her daughters travel paid, despite daughter having part time job aswell (shes now 20 and finished her 1st year).

Will she be able to avail of free fees and travel for the entire 4 years?

Genuinely curious as to whether this type of grant actually exists.

Grants are given out based on the (in this case mothers) parents earnings. Amount given for travel depends on the distance to travel and level of grant awarded.

Unless the circumstances change, and as long as your friend reapplies, your friend will receive a grant for the full 4 years.
