It’ll be much better than standard tv speakers anyway. It doesn’t have a subwoofer or anything but it might be good. Def worth buying and bringing back.

It was €50 in Lidl Germany, but that’s Ireland for you.

I bought something very similar to this below for my tv a few years back and the sound from it is very good:

2 x 15W isn't much more powerful than your average TV speakers. Looks like quite a bulky unit too.

No, I don't see any bargain there tbh.

The Bush soundbar in the Argos link in post #3 is a better bet would give you much more powerful sound at a similar cost.

Have been considering something like this, just compared the outputs to the lower end units at Richer Sounds.

This one for its size seeems seriously underpowered unfortunately.

They are certainly underpowered, but the fact that they are in an enclosure and aren't crammed against a wall will help.

Seems an odd size, too high to put under a TV but too deep to put in front

Looking for people's opinions would it be worth it at this price
    Available this Thursday in Lidl

This is designed for the tv to be placed on top of the sound base if that's what you want, if not go for a traditional sound bar like the one below
