Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I'm interested in taking up beginner lessons for adults for canoeing or kayaking in the Dublin area.

Do courses run during the winter? I've decided I'm sick of being bored sitting in front of the tv or working late all winter.

    Can't help me can you?

Is there any clubs in the Dublin area that run such a course. I'm living in the Ballsbridge area.

Hi I think usually beginners courses are usually held over the summer, but I'd say some of the clubs could still be taking members since it's quite early in August! The best way for finding out is to have a look at the club contact list here

    http://www.canoe.ie/en-us/information/clubcontactlist.aspx

find a club near you and maybe give them a ring about starting as a beginner!! Alternatively you could look out for beginner courses on the ICU(Irish Canoe Union) website...

Canoeing Ireland still have courses going - if you did that then you should be able to join a club with a lv. 2. Possibly some clubs will still also take beginners now. I know Mullingar Canoe Club beginner's course start late August/September, but that's not exactly in Dublin.
