Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I'm looking to buy a canoe that would be suitable for the family (2 adults 2 small boys), something that's fairly sturdy, balenced & will do until they're old enough to kayak themselves or share our dbl kayaks..

You can't really go wrong with an open canoe; any brand will do, so it comes to your budget.

A canoe with two seats and two thwarts is a nice sized boat and it's possible to get extra little clip in seats for the kids, or glue in two blocks of foam for them to sit on. This is also a decent size for lifting and carrying on a roof rack.

If you're having four in a canoe I presume they're pretty young/small as once they hit 10/12 yrs plus it may start getting a little cramped!
