Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I own these, got them when they were 399 years ago. Good headphones, got loads of use out of them. Had to replace the cushions recently though.0 -

One thing to keep in mind is that Argos ones are for the iPhone, so the volume buttons on the small controller that is on the cable won't work with Android phones.

Last post on this - got the phones today and tested them - hopefully this will be useful for anyone who is considering them:
1. Sound quality:
a) Noise cancellation off - sound quality is very average - I use a pair of Sennheiser Momentum usually and I would say the sound quality in passive mode is very much below the Sennheiser and even below something like the KOSS Portapros (which are criminally cheap for their sound quality);
b) Noise cancellation on - sound quality is improved drastically - Bose must have some pretty good DSP (digital sound processor) in their phones because the contrast is night and day - the muffled sound becomes a lot clearer. Bass is there but you won't be banging your head to the cans (which I guess businessmen will appreciate on their long haul flights). With ANC on the sound quality isn't quite up to the Momentums I feel (could be subjectively biased) but almost there (probably bass related).
2. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):
Pretty good - obviously haven't had a chance to use them on a long haul flight yet but they are comfortable to wear. I've played airplane sound effects from the laptop and the ANC does an admirable job of cancelling out the drone. Can see this being useful even on bus/train journeys to just cut out the environment. It's older tech so something like the £200 sony 1000mx2 on Amazon right now might be slightly better but then it is more expensive.
Very glad I got them - with the ANC on the sound quality is more than adequate for my listening needs and the ANC itself works very well.0 -
