Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One of the best cyclists Ireland has ever produced announced his retirement from Pro Cycling this morning.

Sad to see him retire without ever getting to ride the Tour, but he was a fine pro with of course the Vuelta stage win and top 10 finish in 09 probably the highlight. Only 8 Irish cyclists have ever won stages at a Grand Tour so he is definitely one of our best ever.

Got the impression his heart wasn't in it any longer and with a new child, maybe it was the correct time to end his career. As a fellow Donegal man, it was always great to be able to follow his career and the few times I met him, he seemed like a real gentleman.

Wish him the best of luck for the future.
