Is this area safe for a single female?

..my friend is moving into a flat on the junction of Emmet St., and Charles St. Grt., near N. Circular Rd.

She asked me if it's safe. All I could remember was that the council flats down the road weren't that great an area when I lived in Dublin last.

Would you let a nervy female wander around this area at night alone?

This is a nice person, don't want to see her hurt.

Well you've a garda station around the corner if that means anything

Similar thread over in Dublin forum a few weeks back

The place is a ghosttown at night so no, I'd say it's not the best

Why not head over to Drumcondra

And you're right outside the garda cordon, better to inside the cordon then just outside it on matchdays

Thanks for the link, though it doesn't really resolve the question as it's not clear if the garda station is closing.

Would you let your little sister wander around here after 9pm?

No way, I would never live in that area, even in daytime it's a bit scary!

    I wouldn't if I were you.

No I wouldn't settle near that part of Dublin! The road between where the wax museum was (it's a hotel now) and Drumcondra is generally safe enough though, so if you find anywhere along that road that should sort you out =)

Um, don't wander around at night!

One of the problems with anti-social types is that they will target people who don't have a sense of purpose about them.
