Hey all, can anybody offer an explanation of how best to run cat 6 from camera height through brick exterior wall and up through cavity and into attic? I’m assuming in a new build this is going to be a pain?

I was thinking a 45 degree hole upwards though join between bricks, but I’m curious how best to negotiate the cavity/membranes and the insulation? I’m assuming a hole will need to be drilled in the capping beam in the attic and the cable fished from the hole outside up and through the hole in the attic?

Is there an technique to doing this and how best to seal up afterwards? Or is it a terrible idea to consider breaching the waterproof membrane? It’s probably gonna be a balls with a 30 degree pitch also I’m guessing...

Can't really comment on the interior work, but make sure you put a drip loop in the cable outdoors and use silicone sealant where you've drilled.

Yes so the plan is to put turrets so I was going to silicone the hole well and like you say, add a drip loop. Was wondering if there was any foam or extras required to make sure the exterior wall is sealed. Assume I need to seal the top hole into the attic with expanding foam or that. Thanks!
