Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Typo in title, if mod could change it to council please :)

    https://www.irishtimes.com/business/commercial-property/glenveagh-to-charge-council-up-to-791-500-for-family-apartments-1.4456642?mode=amp

This is crazy carry on, how can the council justify this?

You could build 2 or 3 properties for the price of one of these on council owned lands and that is more than enough for people living off social welfare.

This bullsh1t of needing 10% of all new developments to go to social housing needs to stop.
Rewarding social scroungers & those who play the system by getting preganant, with expensive flats & houses that most of us could never afford despite holding down jobs & contributing to society is a pisstake.

Offer them houses down the country & if they refuse put them on the bottom of the list for social housing and don't then try claim they are homeless when they have been offered houses.

Would love to see the dole payments reduced and all those scroungers on the dole forced to contribute to society by working 10/15 hours a week in the community - cleaning, labouring etc for their dole payment.

Obviously I am not including the people on the dole/PUP due to Covid but those who were on it long before Covid & scrounge off the state.

    Goodnight zzzz

Bring your rant about "social scroungers" somewhere other than Boards
