Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its nice and plain, match it with the green shorts and it'll be cracking.

If only we could buy it without the 3 though.

Haven't been impressed with an Irish jersey in a long time. Bad enough we have to put up with a gaudy sponsor on the front, but that new crest they brought in is a pile of corporate sh*te imo. Much preferred the old one with the shamrock.

It's not bad, some times basic just works ..but there'll be a hideous giant 3 sponsorship plastered on the front of the retail product taking away from it.

Unless you buy it without that hideous giant 3 sponsorship

Behold, SC Braga’s third kit for the coming season:

    hummel-braga-19-20-kits-10.jpg

It’s so hideous, it could instigate transfer requests.

wonder how that looks over a huge beer belly?

In Germany, Umbro have given Schalke & Werder the exact same keeper jersey.

Even worse, Puma have given the exact same kit to three teams. Two of those teams have the same sponsor, so the kits are identical apart from the club crest.

Yeah its bit mundane and bit dated looking. Whats it, about 15 years old now? The prior version lasted 92-04'ish and the one before that only 87-92'ish.

...probably a topic for the other thread, but I wonder how much the FAI paid for it :pac:

Probably easier to ask the Israeli FA:

We're certainly the only one that has the same discussion every single time a jersey comes out*

    *possibly not

I detest white jerseys, they are so impractical in the real world. Every bit of dirt shows up really obviously. They go mouldy grey if you wear them to play in and get muck on them the whole time.

Grand if you wear them for half a game and get a nice fresh new one at half time and never have to wear it again.

It's tough to make a bad looking white jersey imo and while that's not too bad, there's something uncomfortable looking about that collar.

It should comfortably outsell the home shirt anyway.....

The Ireland away .... It’s just looks pretty ****e and unimaginative. I don’t think the sponsor adds anything to the shirt in any way either.

I've seen 5 a side teams kitted out better. Looks like they took stock t-shirts and threw on the crest etc.

Totally, the NB gear is pretty ****ty. I miss the kits Adidas made for us, every one of them was class.

    Desperate stuff. :(

Not sure I recall that one, but here is a ‘concept’ kit that’s nice..

If that was an option I'm sure people would. They sold a third kit without the sponsor on the front in 2008 or 2009.

Maybe JD’s head instead. Change his title again. He can be the FAI’s in-house model.

The old Adidas kits were bland as ****, they were just generic templates used for dozens of other teams much like like they are today.

For all the moaning people did about Umbro, I think they were the best in terms of individual design, quality, price and fit.

New Balance are by far the worst gear I've ever seen. Terrible designs, shocking quality, bad fitting and outrageously priced.

I'd love to see what O'Neills could bring to the table in the modern era.. they made some cracking kits in the day and their more recent stuff for the likes of Bohs and UCD are pretty nice, good quality and we'll priced.

O Neills have improved from a design premise at least. I’m liking especially the current Bohs home.. though over the years in terms of design and quality of soccer stuff they have been very meh...

NB is truly awful, you’d wonder who in the FAI gave the thumbs up for those.

The shirts sell so it’s a pity we can’t hook up with a sportswear company that can design some good fitting, nicely designed and stylish shirts, ain’t rocket science.

Well obviously you'd have Eamon Dunphy's head on there.

The FAI signed a new deal with JACC until 2026 today, that's us stuck with New Balance for the foreseeable future unless they switch back to Umbro.

Theres Kappa and Under Armour there too..........

As Paddy Power is involved this could just be a crappy p1ss take.... but if it is not? Oh boy, what a horrible looking kit. Paddy Power FC.

EDIT: Like.... the more I look at it the more I think it has to be a joke. I mean that just can't be real, can it? There is no way you'd sign off on that as a kit, no way you'd do it!

There is and that's too big. I'd guess a new kit tomorrow with a normal paddy power sponsor. Free publicity for paddy power

Its a con, as the sponsor size goes against regulations.

Everyone is talking about it, which is exactly what PP wanted.

12 Premier League teams have shirt sponsors by betting companies.

Clubs being used by betting company to market their 'stunts' is nearly worse than being sponsored on the front of the jersey. Especially when it's a 'gotcha' type thing to make betting companies look like loveable rogues.

I would like to see football in this country follow the GAA in banning sponsorship from betting companies.
