Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We have access to quite a few on-line TV services here in Ireland whether via browser or dedicated apps. There's a huge amount of content spread across these and some of them have some real hidden gems in their back catelogues so I thought a thread for people to recommend some of the programmes (or any additional free channels/services) they've found could be useful

A documentary series from 1997 that charts how do-it-yourself transformed interior design in Britain after World War 2 and up to the 90's. Should be of interest to anyone who likes Grand Designs, 100k house, Room to Improve etc.

Could I please ask for a quick 2 line VPN how to? I've found these hit and miss in the past... Just looking for something simple that works....

Also are people using these VPNs directly via their Smart TV?

Mod: feel free to recommend services, shows et al, but be aware that it's quite specific in the charter:
Please do not discuss how to capture / download streaming content from any streaming video site. This includes YouTube, RTE Player, Google Video, Metacafe, Hulu etc
While we're on the subject, discussing how to bypass geographical limitations to watch streaming content is also a no-no (i.e. how to watch Hulu outside the US)

Good idea OP. It might also be useful to have a quick guide on how to receive these services if your TV isn't smart (enough). Can they be accessed on a pc?

All the links are to website's and not Android/iOS apps, but think most have apps as well.

One we found last night on All4 after noticing a new series on the way: The £1 Houses: Britain's Cheapest Street had 3 episodes in season 1 which followed some of the first applicants to avail of a Liverpool Council urban renewal scheme where they sold derelict houses to families for £1 on the condition that the buyers would renovate them at their own cost:

Well, All4 has iconic comedy shows: Brasseye (the best), Spaced, 30 Rock, Garth Merenghi's Darkplace, Nathan Barley (way ahead of its time)

Drama wise: The Shield, Red Riding Trilogy (fantastic), The Virtues.

    Will add to this
