Setting up an account with PP.
Are there alternative ways of depositing to the account rather than using a debit/credit card?

    I use paypal
just be aware, if you are using a third party like paypal, you often don't qualify for their free bet specials!

I don't suppose one of those One4all type cards is any good?

    They're gift vouchers.....

    Assume you have Covid-19?

Of the various sites out there, PP,Betfair etc which is most attractive for horse racing.

I've been with Skybet for years but recently opened up a Bet365 account. They offer cashout on Cheltenham bets and money goes directly into your bank account.

Use them all. Make sure you look out for signing up deals. They are all free to join.

If you really really fancy an outsider Bet Fair ( or other exchanges ) is great. You can get on for small beans and get some lovely returns. All the exchanges can work well.

Loads of ways, cash in shop (when they are open)

    Paypal, Neteller, Moneybookers, Applepay

You could also try a paysafe card, buy in shop for face value and upload to account

By a country mile the best online bookmaker(excluding exchanges) out there at the moment is Bet365.

I used to be a fan of PaddyPower but not any more.
They have morphed themselves from a one time decent bookmaker to an outfit run by parasitic bean counters.
    Avoid them at all costs!!!

They almost always seem to be best priced on oddschecker for a lot of the bigger priced nags anyway do Bet365.

    Account Review
    Hi xxxxxxx,

We’ve recently reviewed your Betway account – xxxxxxx – and have taken the decision that you will no longer be eligible for any sports promotions.

This means that you’ll no longer be eligible for Free Bets, Bonuses, Best Odds Guaranteed or Betway Plus Loyalty Points.

There is nothing new going on here Del Roy, they are regrettably not in the business of letting punters do them for a few grand every month.

The only real way to make substantial returns online is with exchanges.

I only use online accounts for yankees and accums and big festival betting. I have won on these and never received any negative feedback. My account was suspended with PP for around 36 hours during Cheltenham around 5 years ago when I got a yankee up which paid fairly handsomely, but they did not discontinue the business.

If they see genuine profits over a sustained period of time they will look to close your account. Particularly if you are winning at small midweek meetings, that is their bread n butter gambling wise. They can stomach you having a few good weekends from time to time but as soon as they see you generating any income you are gone.

If I am having a large bet these days I head into a shop or I would have tried on track when they were open. Shop betting also only guarantees prices up to 500 I think? It might be more nowadays?

I would be taking that letter as a shot across the bow, if you win any more money over the next few weeks they will suspend the account. If I were you I would withdraw and start using the exchanges for the time being, they are not going to let you get any proper bets on now anyway and your GP is finished.

I know it seems ridiculous. The computer would have highlighted your account as being in profit. The online people don't want you making a few quid. They want mugs depositing a 100 every Saturday.

I was that mug for years :( and now the fookers won't let me win some just some of my money back

Don't sweat it , just stick to the exchanges. There is plenty of money on them and you can get on as you like. Don't give up.

I only use bookies now to check their " specials" every day. If I fancy a fav I will always check to see if it is in any of their doubles. I told this story before but I used to know a bloke who was an on track bookies' runner, he used to frequent the same bookies in town. He was always able to point out which horses would not be trying in maidens that day. It was great advice anytime I bumped into him. Nearly always those same non triers would be in bookies doubles and winning distance specials. He was rarely wrong in his advice. It is a chunts' game and you need your wits about you.
