Terry O'Connor has to be banned from judging ever again!!

    Seriously.

The markets were widely in favour of Vasquez at the end. He was 1/5 at the end.

Terry on his phone mid fight probably lumping on Ritson.

Some upsets on the undercard though with Joe Laws and Qais Ashfaq losing, delighted for Kane Baker as well after Speare giving it Billy big balls on twitter saying he was undefeated and should've been the home fighter

Berlanga’s power is definitely for real. Big statement with that KO. 15-0 with 15 first-round KOs

    2-0 Lopez

    I am a bit behind

3-0 Lopez. Loma looks lost, and too cautious.

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Loma acting as if scared of Lopez’s power.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,415 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Loma would want to start going to work.

    Lopez is probably 6 up

    Lopez is probably 6 up

    He is..

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Loma not able to get beyond or penetrate the size and power..

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

He is starting to turn it on this round

    He must have himself 9-12

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,415 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Circling for the first time. Appears to have realised you need to throw punches to win fights.

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

I am a few mins behind..

    7-0 Lopez

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,415 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Mental. Probably took the 8th but slowed down again in the 9th.

He really has to go for broke here but dunno if him or the corner realise it.

Fair play to Lopez but he has barely had to work for this lead.

    8-0

    Close rd 8

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    8/2, 9-1 here...

I think judges will have this 6-5 Lopez, draw on the cards unless there is a knockdown in 12

Ludicrous if so. Loma at most won 3 rds...

Andre Ward has it even to the last rd? Wtf..

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Lopez won last rd..

    10-2 for me.

    I think they’ll have it 7-5

    Lopez wins

    9-3ish

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Loma was very poor...

    Far too cautious..

Only started working rd 8...and even then he wasn’t necessarily winning.

Don't understand that from Loma at all. Appeared surprised that Lopez was big and fast and he left it way to make before he started working.

Lopez thoroughly deserving but he hardly had to work for that at all. Was basically given a headstart of 7 rounds.

    No argument there

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Loma lost that because Lopez was quite good AND Loma was too cautious/fearful of Lopez’s power..

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,686 ✭✭✭✭walshb

The 119-109 card is not at all off..

Even the rds that one could give Loma, which was about 3-4 max, Lopez was very competitive in all them..

No arguments there. Lopez boxed well and disciplined for the full 12. He did perhaps slow slightly around 8 or 9 but Loma didn't capitalise. Very ordinary from him, despite what his shorts say no real Venum there. Failed to circle properly, think Lopez did a good job of closing down his movements and keeping him where he wanted him.

Where was Loma's trademark uppercut that doesn't miss?
