It's a good basic coffee machine. More expensive models (unless you are talking about x3 or more the price) would have little difference and would make the same quality of coffee.

I agree about the noise. If noise of grinding beans bothers you may consider this machine as it's somewhat less noisy:

I've had mine for about a year now and I've had no reason to complain yet. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a good bean to cup machine.

Seeing it there at 229 sterling. Is it stuck at that price, or is that reasonable?

Edit. I've reserved this one in argos, reviews seem mixed, should i hang on for the original one on the OP? This is so hard haha.

Wonder how it compares to this from Argos.

http://www.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/store...d0wg264Io%253d

Ive got a schaerer Siena 2. but due to terrible water quality and not using bottled water like I should have, micro crystals blocked some part causing massive overpressue and I cracked the brew unit. Marcos in Sandyford said it will cost about 300EUR to replace the parts plus whatever it costs to service. Although it wouldve been 3500EURO new, Im still not happy to pay so much for a part.

Milk composition is pretty changeable depending on what the cows are fed when they're housed for winter which will be the case for some (most) Irish herds now
