Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

injured dove - help please

    Hi,

I am used to feeding birds in the garden and the collared dove came with her mate yesterday as usual to eat but she was in a terrible state, probably attacked by a dog or cat. She could not fly back but she has no apparent injury, nor blood either.

Earlier today I let her out in the garden hoping she could fly as she looked more alert than yesterday. She managed to fly a few meters but that was all. She walked and ate in the garden and did not want to go back in the box, but I had no choice.

In the box, she has water and seeds, and kept warm with a hot bottle against the box. What else can I do?

Are there emergency services or veterinary in Cork area specialised with birds I can contact or do I have to wait till Monday to go to the local vet which I am a bit reluctant to do as I'm worried they'll say the dove will have to be put to sleep.

    Thanks
