Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    KT vs Koo

    FNC vs EDG

    FW vs OG

    SKT vs AHQ

Going to see the Origen game on Thursday. I have good tickets. Also have tickets (6) for Sunday for KT vs Koo but don't think I'm gonna go so will probably try and get my money back. Not great seats though

Delighted C9 **** the bed, can't stand them as a team - would love to see Sneaky on a better team!

Same, I think they really need some roster changes. Hai and Balls are very average, they look good in NA...but don't show up on the Worlds stage.

    NA went 0-10 in Week 2 :P

There are many players out there who could/should be given offers to come over to play in the NA LCS.
Top tier Korean players who are with a mid-table Chinese or Korean team.

I'd love to see Mata or Madlife go to the US, Flame or Shy too ! Dandy, Dade etc

Also, I think EasyHoon should find a team , although it seems to work for SKT...I doubt either midlaner can be really happy with swapping in and out. He should find a team to be the starter with...he is obviously skilled enough.

Marin looks to be far and away the best top laner I've seen in a long time. I can't see SKT being beaten in this tournament...especially in a Best of 5 series.
Huni pulled off some good plays, but made some really bad calls in many games.

Hai is a funny one because without him they were going to be relegated. Mechanically he isnt great and he isnt the best jungler but he is a great shotcaller. He carried that team to worlds and nearly out of groups.

Balls is just bad and so is Lemonnation. Incarnation is mechanically quite a good mid laner but it remains to be seen if he can make the step up with his decision making etc. I'd keep Sneaky, Incarnation and Hai and find a new top lane and support.

He takes risks which I like but sometimes he does things needlessly and he doesnt play well from behind. If they can control him then he will be one of the best top laners in the world. He needs to watch Marin and Ssumday closely and learn from their controlled aggression.

Reddit saying that Phreak is trying too hard to be funny when casting, and I sort of agree, but thats Phreak!

DoA is the funniest for me, I could listen to him all day!

Wolf on Tahm Kench with Bang on Kallista (SKT Game 2 ) ......the best use of Tahm Kench I've seen to date.
So many saves and just clean and crisp plays.

    SKT SeantheMan

Ahhh I've been a fan for a while, ever since I moved to Korea.
Was actually into Starcraft when I moved here first, and attended an SC2 final....it was between SKT Rain and Maru Prime....was given an SKT flag thingy (and my phone carrier was SKT)
So when my friend introduced me to LOL, there were too many Korean teams to choose from...so I just went with SKT as I knew them from SC2.

    I chose well.

But I'm not wrong on that Tahm Kench, he looks such a good support sometimes. I'd love to play him but down in the lower leagues where I belong....things don't work like that :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,149 ✭✭✭ZorbaTehZ

Tahm Kench is BY FAR the most fckin irritating champ to play against. No other champ comes even close to his level of annoyance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,912 ✭✭✭SeantheMan

Fnatic looked great last night !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,912 ✭✭✭SeantheMan

Can anyone explain the constant Lulu bans ?
Did she get buffed ?....93% ban rate, is she that strong ?

Sitting here watching the picks and bans for the first game of KT / Koo ....Tahm Kench get's chosen....so very happy ! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,149 ✭✭✭ZorbaTehZ

She is banned because of her utility and in the juggernaut meta she has the perfect kit to stop or enable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,932 ✭✭✭YouSavedMyLife

She's also a flex pick and very strong in protect the hyper carry ADC comps. I didn't watch all of the game but did you see Niel's on Jinx in the final(?) game against FW, frontline Jinx, it was nuts

That was unreal. Niels played phenomenally in that series. I's say SKT will pick on bottom lane in their series. Hopefully leaving xPeke and Soaz to do their thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,923 ✭✭✭Playboy

Yeah Lulu offers far too much at the moment. She is a really safe mid laner, a counterpick top lane, a flex pick during pick and ban phase (top, mid, supp) so hard for the other team to counterpick or pick around, she can be used in protect the carry comps (Jinx, Kalista) or speed up the juggernaut comps (Darius, Morde). She has been an important pick now for years and to be honest I think she needs a rework. Its so boring seeing her as a constant in the meta for season after season. She is a support so why is she still such a viable top lane and mid lane pick even after numerous nerfs? Every other support that has been a constant pick in other lanes has been nerfed or reworked (Soraka).

But for me the most obnoxious and irritating thing to happen to League of Legends in recent times is Tahm Kench. What were they thinking when they designed this guy... just because a mechanic sounds cool doesnt make it good for the game. He can swallow people out of hard CC? Do riot not realise that hard CC is the only counter to a number of really irritating champs. Tahm single handly nullifies far too many team comps and strategies and leaves the opposing team with very few options to play around him. And he is way too feckin tanky... he is nearly impossible to kill or burst down when he has only 1 tank item and he is super sticky when he is chasing you. Talk about an over loaded kit before you even discuss his ult where you and a team mate can teleport for a flank. Pro teams have only scratched the surface of his capability and he is already single handedly changing the meta. They need to delete him or nerf him into the ground. Wait till we see Tahm Kench and Master Yi comps!!!

Also what is going on with the Gragas bug! He is now disabled for the rest of the tournament along with Lux and Ziggs. It's going to make life for teams on red side so much harder! Just ban Rek'sai and first pick Elise if you are on blue side and then the red side are at a massive disadvantage. Quite worried for Fnatic now as Gragas, Elise and Rek'Sai are Reignover's top picks. The Olaf pick has fallen away now especially with the emergence of Tahm Kench!

AMAZING is in trouble too. Hopefully both teams can come up with some workarounds.

Think we will end up seeing a lot more of Lee Sin but if Rek'sai and Lee are banned then who is left? Are we really back to Nunu?

Final game of MSI with Fnatic! Single handedly won that game but totally nullifying Reignover! Hopefully Reignover will have learned to play around it this time!

Exactly what I was thinking. ****

Its Amazing we have to worry about first though.

That 2nd game was a steam roll, and without Faker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,992 ✭✭✭Korvanica

And a Kr vs Kr final.

    Not surprised.

As usual though. It takes away some excitement from the world final. Hopefully koo can win it though. Skt are somewhat the Kilkenny of lol.

I expected and hoped Fnatic would do better, I wanted to see them in the Final.
SKT weren't anything great last year when the organisation was split into 2 teams of SKT T1K and T1S

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,932 ✭✭✭YouSavedMyLife

    Kalista x 2
    Ashe x2
    Kennen
    Sivir

These where the ADC picks for the KOO vs FNC games. Has the meta changed so much in favor of carry top/mid laners that all ADC picks are utility based? Sad to see, but this ADC rework planned for next season couldn't have come at a better time imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,912 ✭✭✭SeantheMan

But Jinx and Trist are the most picked ADC's this tournament. Ashe was only picked 5 times so far, 2 of them the games you mentioned.

But i don't get how FNC played pretty much the same comp in all 3 games versus KOO. I feel like putting Rekkles on a Sivir or an Ashe is such a waste. Ah whatever it too late now

Thats a cool site, thanks :)

yeah i watched them there. I find the warding in LoL to be insipid and stupid. there has to be a better system.
No surprises in who won though. absolutely amazing coordination from SKT

Warding is changing next season. Not sure what you don't like about it though? Too much warding/vision?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

Yeah no more green wards apart from trinkets, sightstone reduced from to 4 to 3

just an absolute mess. half the game seems to be placing and killing wards. I was watching the final and saw the state of the map and was just laughing. There are some things the game does extremely well (jungle and laning) and some which are just awful (warding and team fights)

Chance to see some LoL tonight at IEM

    TSM vs LGD
    CLG vs UOL

OG and Jin Air in the semis already

Will be interesting to see the new rosters playing out, starts around 8pm tonight. It's a pity it's not on the latest patch

So what does everyone think of EU and NA LCS this split? Fnatic and Origen struggling, Vitality and H2K looking really good, UoL and G2 performing beyond expectations. The other end of the standings is as expected with Elements probably being the real surprise as the best of a bad bunch.

In NA Immortals look fantastic and their aggressive style of play is so fun to watch. The team seems to have great chemistry. Huni is still being Huni though with some very tilt prone and reckless play. He has had to get carried a number of times this split. TSM starting to look a bit better but so many egos and different playstyles are proving difficult to integrate into a cohesive unit. Echo Fox also looking good last week since Froggen returned. Currently very good odds on them to beat Team Liquid on Paddy Power.

EF are looking great now ! Very much looking to be a playoff team.

Finding NA much more exciting this year. Immortals are looking more powerful than Fnatic were last year.

Agreed, EU is such a bore it's unreal. Their meta seems to be avoid each other until we're 100% forced to fight at some point, then hope the enemies' mechanics are worse than ours.

And Korea is even more boring than EU.

NA clown fiesta makes it much more fun to watch.

I am, I don't follow League much at all anymore but this drama is pretty good.
