Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know what work is being carried out on the Galway side of Athlone station? Seems to be at the junction to the Moate line

    Might be Greenway works.

Construction of a tunnel at the hospital to allow the Greenway to continue under the active line.

Its built now but there's still work to be done to create the Greenway track, hence the cranes etc.

Looks like they're finally lifting the rails at the white gates, probably about time as it has been imposible to run a train on the line for at least ten years (or whenever Irish Rail disconnected the two ends of the line).

I assume it will be replaced by a zebra crossing of some type.
