Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Asics Hyperspeed 3 owners - how are they?

I've been thinking about updating my racing shoes for a while.

I found the Asics Hyperspeed 3 at Elverys for 70 euro. They seems to be quite light but have a bit of cushioning.
I would be using them for 5k/10k races, up to half marathon at most.

To owners of these shoes - what do you think of them?

I got a pair from Elverys and they were 90 reduced to 70 AND 26.2% off that!.

    I paid 51-something for them.

Chickened out of wearing them for the half marathon seeing as they were new so can't give a review yet.

For this reason they are brilliant. You'll get lighter racers, and therefore faster, but with less cushioning, so it's a trade off.

I disagree,i think they are only a few racers on the current market lighter.for the average joe punter or anyone above 75kg's id stay away unless you are going to use them for track sessions and maybe the odd 5k.

hi daymobrew, bought these for two reasons, one i've always had asics shoes +also for that bit of cushioning they have.

have raced 5k/5mile and 1/2 marathon in them, with no issues after any of those races.

do take a bit of getting used to, especially I found how your stride lengthens when going downhill, def recommend the purchase, wear them first 1/2 times in training to get a feel for them, and then try them in a race...
