Old reel film

Hi folks...
I found a few small reels of film ( in the butterbox)
They are dated 1978..
The reels have Fujifilm Single 8 stamped on them.
I don't have any equipment to play them so my question is
Can I have the film transferred to CD or anything else so I can see it on my tablet or tv..

a few places certainly used to offer the '8mm to DVD' service - where are you based?
the fuji place on abbey street in dublin was one, but that was years ago that i enquired.

I got a conversion done many years ago - a crude but common method involving projecting the film onto a screen and filming it with a VHS camcorder.

There is a place in Galway that does it frame by frame using a telecine which should give a far better result. I don't know if they do "single 8" or how expensive it would be and I have never used them

Photocare don't do it anymore.
