Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    What's for dinner today?

Not sure - probably a heap of veg! Just back from India and need nourishment :)

Will you be avoiding large public gatherings like the St Patrick's day parade or music concerts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,105 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

I have one but never use it these days.

Edit: yeah. I won’t be going mad with the isolation but will avoid big events for a bit.

I tend to follow whatever, regardless of country of origin, if anything stands out, it's the ability to get me hooked and keep me interested-always.

    It's on a tight budget.

Where has been the most dangerous place you've experienced?( place, also area, building..)

I barely made it out alive from a taxi ride gone wrong in Brazil. Similar in Ecuador. Similar in Guatemala. 2017 was a harsh year!

Are you happy with your life?

No but I just laughed out loud!

Did you stockpile any food etc yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

I haven't. I'm thinking, worst case scenario, supply chains collapse and I have to register for a shotgun. But that's months off yet.
And the food I eat doesn't require much toilet roll....

What would you stockpile the most?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,303 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

No and I don't intend to either.

If you're stressed, what's the first thing you reach for?

If you're stressed, what's the first thing you reach for?

My husky mix. And if I'm away from her and I'm stressed or upset and trying not to cry, I just say her name in my head a few times and I immediately calm down.

If you had to do one or the other... Would you be a contestant on bake off or MasterChef?

I seldom stress thankfully. Coffee probably ( makes it worse?)

    Bake off. Pass level.

Nothing. In a dooms day scenario I'll be the one shooting the looters [and picking up their ill gotten gains :D ]

Do you think you and your immediate loved one's will escape the virus?

That depends on everybody in society. I've spoke to many people who view it like the flu. That's too ignorant. The risk of spread is grave. If not taken seriously then my family will probably suffer it, if not the threat to health maybe the threat to living standards until a vaccine.

    Would you go to space?

Before I answer the question.. I'm not too worried about the virus however both my parents are in their 70's and while my mother is a trooper my father (who stopped talking to me six years ago, so I'm not entirely 100% of his health) is I believe quite infirm and the virus would probably kill him, which would be a strain on my mother who for some God forsaken reason has stood by him all these years.

Would I go to space, I doubt it and only because it doesn't hold any attraction for me however if my daughter said ''dad I've booked us a flight into space'' I'd be delighted to build new memories with her (we take regular city breaks together, and she's always the boss).

Question, if you had a choice to travel across Europe by motorbike, car, or truck what would you pick?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,409 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

I'm answering as a non driver. The idea if riding pillion across Europe with the wind in my hair sounds incredibly appealing. Not sure I'd be saying that in winter, though.

    Favourite art form?

Excluding kiddie fidders, rapists, murders and domestic abusers, fraudsters too I think I'd give most people a second chance.

Is the pen mightier than the sword in your opinion?.
