Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Training at 50

    What ye all reckon ..if u are in reasonable is it safe to start training for the likes of gael force and stuff at 50 or is it too late

    Bar you have some under lying health issues, I'd say go for it.. stat small and gradually build up and you'll should be fine.

    I'd suggest going to your GP too for a general check-up, it can't hurt. Go easy at the start and listen to your body as it's easy to get injured.

    I started at 46, and there are a lot more that started later. 50 this year and going for 2nd IM.

    Take it easy, now your limits, listen to your body and leave the expectation of speed behind you (for now). Include strength work and stretching, and again go slow at the start.

    Once u in general good health and doctor clears u , go for it.
    I started cycling at 49 from a very low fitness level and now 6 years later I have done numerous sprint triathlons, adventure races, run series and keep up with the best of them in club spins at 28/30 averages.

    And an 80-85 Age Group male was the last finished in Kona, serious props there
