    Might go to Clare Saturday morning, worth a few cast after the storm surge an high tides or would that keep the fish well out at Sea?

    Would love to be on a river just as the storm comes in as the pressure drops rapidly is the best time for trout

    Big tides + storm surge + big swell = WEED. Piles and piles of weed.

    All depends on the beach, tides and wind direction. It could take well over a week for some areas to clear.

    Was down at my closest beach a couple of hours ago. Just for a walk now but there were rafts of weed in the waves. Completely unfishable. Few days to clear minimum.

    A word of warning too: some surf beaches can have a huge surge after a big storm. The tideline can be far out so you walk out a long way to cast, next minute a surge comes in and you're chest deep or worse and the wave carries on 200 yards up the beach. Always watch the sea for a while before wading in to cast.
