Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great score to win it. Fair play Cavan beating their arch rival.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,079 ✭✭✭blowitupref

Some drama in Clones. Great comeback win and deserved win for Cavan, showed great character.

Ultra negative football, 7 points ahead against a division 3 team with a half of football to play and still going out. Just makes you all warm and fuzzy inside to see them gone.

Fantastic win and finish from Cavan : what a score from Ray Galligan :D

Wouldn't be getting too caught up on league divisions when it comes to these two counties. Both were in Div 1 last year and Cavan won the championship encounter by a bit to spare let's not forget.

Cora Staunton is a lot better player than a Co commentator.
Can't stop talking even when nothing needs to be said, sometimes less is more Cora.

An entire stand to put the camera in and instead they put it out in the pissing rain and wind in Ballybofey.

Clean the bloody camera every now and then for Gods sake. Going to be a long hour or so.

Camera matches in with the empty ground for that authentic McKenna Cup feel.

With the massive budget RTE have you'd think they could afford someone to dry the camera lens every 10 minutes or so.

Probably BBC cameras, normally are in the shared Ulster games. But yeah, same thing goes for them too.

Every single one of these football games follow the same pattern with lads running in arcs on the opposition 45 with no intelligent running being done whatsoever. You could play the same teams in different jerseys nearly every game such is the repetitive nature of the tactics and structure of nearly every team.

Tyrone will be very dangerous this year and next year
Mc shane to come back with mc kenna, harte, Donnelly and co

Tyrone look very solid and have adapted much better to the conditions. Seems to be slowly clearing and getter drier.

Nice goal for Donegal, some kickout!

Another yellow. About 4 already, red surely to come in the second half.

    What a kick out. Unreal!

    There's the usual Murphy yellow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

After a promising Tyrone start it's been all Donegal the last 10 minutes and a brilliant Langan goal the highlight of the game so far. Hard to know who the breeze is favouring.

Yeah, I switched over to BBC2 thinking I was being clever but it's the exact same.

    That's a red?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Nope.

In donegal's favour looking at the kick outs.

Such an idiotic thing to do. Like what's the actual thought process there.

Stupid yellow to pick up though.
He also went down like he got a proper smack rather than a little slap.

    Donegal Joe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,497 ✭✭✭ArnoldJRimmer

So stupid to get involved, but even by Tyrone's standards, thats a pretty disgraceful dive

And that's an equally idiotic thing to do to make a tricky free basically a tap over.

Surprising Tyrone raced into a 0-5 v 0-1 lead into a stiff breeze. Good game and some nice scores in atrocious conditions.

Is there bans for yellow cards? Should be 3 and you get a one match ban, would cut out all this crap.

Also, get rid of the fcuking water break. Grand in the summer but it's redundant now.

Langan has been fantastic for Donegal.

Poor enough game. Can't blame the weather or pitch as these boys will play this way in the height of summer.

Thought they were just picking on the wee county!

    At last!!!

Colm O'Rourke telling it as it is.

Diving on the ground and being checked for 'concussion' for something that wouldn't even hurt a child is just shameful.

He was right to say it's bringing shame on the jersey.

If one of O Rourke's old team mates did that i don't think he'd be long being told where the exit door was.

Messing around like that in these conditions deserves to be punished like that, nicely taken goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Two poor wides from Donegal followed by a defensive blunder leading to a Tyrone goal. Bad few minutes for them. Enjoyable game all the same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,476 ✭✭✭Comic Book Guy

Good response by Donegal to the concession of the goal.
Enjoyable game especially given the conditions.

Bad day but some of the shooting in this is Junior C level. Good game to watch though apart from that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,810 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

God Mayo-Leitrim on RTE News is a dismal spectacle: one-sided game, mucky day, no crowds, poor quality picture

Thompson, Langan and Burns with excellent points.

Well now it can stop annoying you.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Michael Langan putting in a man of the match performance for Donegal. Tyrone still looking dangerous. Teams level.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,338 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Jesus Donegal are sloppy enough even given the weather.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Tyrone squandering a lot of chances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,338 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Ah should have either taken his point or put it across to his team mate at the far post.

Two awful soft frees for Donegal there

Donegal doing very well at eating into the clock, great patience and a super score to finish it,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,338 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

    Marty it’s 67 minutes gone. It’s a small thing but it’s annoying.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Score of the game from Donegal. Passing and probing for what seemed an eternity and capped it off with a long range beauty.! Killer for Tyrone.

Be mad to think of either of them done and dusted already. You’d think Tyrone would be the ones to make a bigger dent later on in the championship of the two and could yet be done.
