    It's a micro atx board ...Make sure a new card fits into the case otherwise running a 1060 should be no problem

    What gpu are you running now ?

    Psu you have is sufficient

    I've 8gb of RAM.

    Will it make much difference to upgrade to 16?

    I would replace that PSU.
    It's "550W" but considering its price (€30 new) I can guarantee it fails at 300.
    Pairing it with any decent GPU is asking for trouble.

    That CPU with GF 1060 would draw 140w/175w from the socket when stressed in games. No need to stress out.

    I would change the PSU as well thought

    It depends.

    16 vs 8 GB won't have a direct influence on frame-rate in games, but more RAM means less reading from SSD/HDD. If you are experiencing occasional stuttering, it might be RAM that is full.

    More RAM is never a bad thing. It just costs a little bit.

    No. The motherboard will select timings and speed supported by both sets. In very rare occasions they might require manual tweaking, but same might happen with four identical modules as well.
