Ho Folks, looking for suggestions for family holiday 2020, open to either camping or a sun holiday. 2 adults, one 6 year old and one baby.

Would ideally like a resort that has a splash pool etc. to keep 6 year old entertained.

I like the idea of camping but also the idea of being able to stroll down the town in the evenings.

Looking to go in august, all suggestion welcome

We did this place summer 2017. Perfect mix. Camping/mobile home, centre of town, 5 minutes from beach, amazing pools including splash pool for babies & little ones. Shallow "beach" type pool with slides. Easy walk to both new town & old town. They also have apartments but they are off site although you can use all the site facilities. Not cheap but cheaper than the nearby Sanguli & Cambrils Park campsites.

Options to fly to Reus (can be extortianately expensive) or Barcelona (60-70 minutes on coach)

Sunway list it but you have to call them for prices IIRC

have been looking at both bella italia and altomincio. Both look great, finding it hard distinguish between the different types of accommodation and what would suit best.

Anyone any experience with either of these parks?

No experience of the parks themselves but of the various accommoations yes. Have used Al Fresco & Eurocamp throughout Europe and they're all much the same.

Lots of reviews online of the various mobile offerings. Some will be a little the worse for ware and some aren't always cleaned as well as they could be.

Accommodation from a park directly might possibly be better but not always an option.

Bella Italia we've been to, walking distance to town, nice big site, stayed with Eurocamp and can recommend

Also another we used was Sanguli near Salou

Fly to Reus as mentioned and 15-20min by car or taxi
Walking distance to Salou to the left or Cambrils to the right, plenty pools on site and beach across the road to the front

We are looking at Altomicio also but worries about the mosquitos! Any advice appreciated! We were in La Chapelle last year and it was lovely- would recommend.
