    Soft Cuddly Toys;

    Jon Leddon, Vocals/Guitar
    Mary Kate Geraghty, Vocals
    Jamie Fox, Piano/Vocals
    Tom Ryan, Bass/Piano
    Adrian Mullan, Drums

    Biog
The band formed around October of 2003 to play a tribute gig for their friend
and brother Jon Fox who unfortunately passed away that September. After playing
the Whelan’s show that December and having one of the most intimate and amazing
onstage experiences of their lives they decided to continue to play together. Over
the next year and a half the band worked on some songs, played some gigs and in
general got to grips with playing together and finding a sound that complimented
    everyone’s role in the group.

After some line up changes and the recient addition of a new drummer the band
have gone on to carve themselves a growing reputation on the live circut. This
included playing events such as the grand final of Whelan's Brave New Stage showcase
Hard Working Class Heros '05, The Revs support slots as chosen by Hotpress as
well as promising reviews in various music colums of their reciently released Higher
    Ground ep.

While all of this may sound good, the band would much rather you check out one
of their gigs and make up your own mind.

Well just a little update on things. We ended up getting two small reviews in hotpress this month. One of our support set in Whelans for the revs and the other was a review of our song "Higher Ground" in the singles section.

Soft Cuddly Toys - "Higher Ground"

Soft drum intro. Check Husky lead vocals. Check. Lovey-dovey lyrics. Check. Female harmonic backing vocals. Check (and a nice addition by the way) What we have here is a classic teenage heart-breaker of a song: complete with powerful chorus and guitar bridge OC devotees will love it, and that's no insult.

And about the Revs support slot,

Soft Cuddly Toys The shared vocals of the lead female singer (who sure can hold a note) and the guitarist complemented eachother well. Their material expertly showcased their talent as instrumentalists, with the dramatic keyboards and drums creating an atmospheric and haunting sound. Their guitarist also gave away a free copy of their ep which was speedily claimed by a girl down the front. The Soft cuddly Toys are showing tremendous promise musically, and clearly, are generous spirits!

cool, good stuff, out of curiosity, when the likes of hotpress do a review, do they tell you about it? might sound like a stupid question:D
