    hi folks,

Where can I buy one in Dublin city centre? Have posted this in the Buddhism forum as well but somebody suggested Yoga shops to me as a possibility.

    Edit: Thanks, found one.

    Hi Lionel,
The best base for meditation that i have found is the half moon cushion.

The reason for this is that you can sit in one of the meditation postures which have been advised in any of the ancient texts such as Padmasana, Siddhasana, Svastikasana and Sukhasana. Or simple crossed legged pose.

Without getting into too much detail, these postures allow the energies to flow more freely and it's more likely to lead towards energy flowing in sushumna channel.

The best half moon cushions for cheapest money can be bought from yoga matters listed at

If you really want a meditation stool instead of the cushion, you can find contact details for a guy in Mayo who makes them at

If you are looking for a CD to teach you meditation details can be seen at

    Best Wishes,
    Dave

Sorry I don't know in Dublin.
But Well, I recommend just purchasing a square/circle pillow. You can find them at most home furnishing stores.in UK :)

But the OP specifically asked for a meditation stool, not a cushion?! If he wanted a cushion, they're readily available in Ireland, too!

    Baffling post is baffling.

The only place I've found is the Dublin Buddhist Centre, James Joyce Street (near Connolly Station). You might want to phone to make sure they're still available; 01 817 8933.
