    Hi.

Looking for hardwood saplings for a farm grant plantation.
Is there a recommended supplier who always has stock as we need to get it planted soon?

    Thanks.

Fermoy woodland nurseries in Co cork are a good source of plants for that side of the country.

You would want to be getting your plants soon and get them planted, the planting season is pretty much over.

    Got sorted thanks.
All to be planted in next fortnight. Was a bit of a panic, but all resolved now.

Is it not the wrong time to be planting? Perhaps you need to wait until November.

Apparently not. Been told to get them in now.

You would want to get confirmation from your forester that they will sign off on the planting at this late date. Without his/her approval, the grant won't be paid.

Bare root trees coming out of cold storage can still be planted. just don't let them dry out in the bags before you plant

Yip - that's all sorted. They'll be doing the planting too.
