Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

2020 will now go down in the annals of time as the Covid year. It will be defined and remembered by this pandemic.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind for specific years gone by...

For example...2002-Ireland's currency change to euro.

1989 Berlin Wall "falling". I have so many strong childhood memories about this. I was fascinated. I had become weirdly interested in the whole situation through watching Night Crossing. Then seeing it all play out on TV was just incredible. But a lot of the memories I connect it with are very ordinary everyday ones, like what I was eating when it was on TV, and what my mam was wearing.

Late 1991: I’d just moved to Earl’s Court in London, found out that Freddie Mercury lived nearby, and then he died shortly afterwards. The area was mobbed by Queen fans.

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.
