    After trying a variety of devices, found that I had to shave my chest and apply gel in order to get reliable readings.

    Max HR 182, resting 40-42.
    Run HM at 165 rising to 170.
    Marathon I can sustain around 160, that tallies with lactate threshold as measured in sports lab.
    Marathon plus - don't bother with HRM, run on perceived effort.
    Most training done 130-140 bpm.
