Swiss grounds A220 due to engine failures

    Quite surprised ETOPS hasn't been pulled for these yet as its not just Swiss having engine issues so its very unlikely to be operator maintenance related (wouldn't have imagined that for Swiss anyway really).

    This basically wiped out their Geneva ops today. Looks like some will be back as soon as tomorrow though, although there's very conflicting news reports.

    All LX A220 service is back to normal today.

    of course quite relevant in the irish context with so many being in Geneva for the Switzerland v Ireland match .
    Anyone I know with a cancelled flight got rerouted via Vienna so all was grand in the end.
