What day is SW payment issued

    If a person is paid in the bank on Thursday for example, which day do the social welfare actually issue the payment

    Depends on the payment. What payment are you in receipt of?

    You should be able to log onto mywelfare.ie and see the payment details

    If paid into the bank, SW issue the payment 2 working nights before it hits the bank, so a Thursday payment is sent to the bank on a Tuesday night (if the Tuesday or Wednesday are a bank holiday it will be Monday). I think that's what you're asking.

    As far as I know payment runs on the Tuesday to be there on the Thursday if being issued by EFT. You could phone the Working Family Payment section to find out.
