Just looking at the awkward position of that aerial on the radio, there are surely equally good if not better yokes available on ebay yes?

    Compatible with headsets etc.

This and boots are my next buy.

i actually find the aerial to be better placed than most similar radios like the double pack that lidl sold a while back, it doesnt get caught on anything like the normal type aerials.,

It just makes it a bit tall for my radio pouch is all.

Had a look at these earlier, not really sold on the accessories, the headset is a bit funny, but looks like it suits helmets down to the ground.
The mic and ear pieces attach to the inside of a helmet, bar me making one out of fibreglass(great stuff) I'll get a regular style set.

I found them very handy for installing into a full face mask, its really comfy, can hear it in bot ears and the PTT button can easily be mounted to anything., :)

I have a set of Binatone Terrain 550's very similar to the lidl and aldi walkie talkies

I needed a headset for them before tomorrow and I ended up getting a set for 50, just earphone and PTT button, one pin small, fits talkabouts, but for some reason doesn't work with them

i got two set of these radios from lidle, fit nicly into an m88 or the israeli type helmets and the ptt button looks gucci on the steyr, bit of black tape to tidy up the wires and your sorted.

where would we be without black tape...

These Lidl radios are PMR frequencies right, are sub-channels available on them, thanks E.
I presume sub channels are the existing 8 PMR split down further by a few kHz seperation ?
    i.e:
    446.00625 MHz
    446.01875 MHz
    446.03125 MHz
    446.04375 Mhz
    446.05625 Mhz
    446.06875 Mhz
    446.08125 Mhz
    446.09375 Mhz

Yea its ccts tones (think its ccts, has them letters not sure of the order lol) handset transitmits then and another handset with those ccts programmed in picks it up.

Most pmr sets come with them cause otherwise ever man and his dog can listen to you

Yes you can get the ccts on the lidl radios tonky

Can anyone recommend where I would get a very small in ear with boom type mic with ptt and vox that I could use just for cycling with these specific radios?

I want to clip the radio onto a rucksack and be able to chat with whoever is cycling around with me.

Something like this maybe but a smaller mic?

Those headsets that were linked from RSOV are also available here.

    http://www.andysairsoft.co.uk/acatalog/Communication.html

They work out roughly the same price. Without the customs and possibly the long shipping time.

Are you sure? I thought both this UK site and the Italian one have their own warehouse. So they are shipping from those countries.

If they are just shipping stuff from Hong Kong that seems a little pointless to me. What is the benefit of their affiliation. It cant just be customer support, because from what I hear Ebaybanned are pretty good in that respect.

    :)

Alright I may be wrong about that. All I have to go by are the comments left on the few items I was buying.

Plenty of variance based on the place you get it delivered to.

Personally I've found www.tacticalgeardepot.com to be a little better (although they're both pretty bad).

yeah communication is rare and primative, but ive always found ebaybanned stuff to be good quality and although some packages can take a while to finally arrive, ive never been left short.,
RSOV though, their far better in both communication and service.,
