Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Meggings! Guys, dare you wear!

I have seen men wearing meggings in the media, but never in reality, so I was very curious to try them. I have always been into skinny jeans, so meggings looked like a garment that I could wear and they would suit my style.

I ordered my meggings from Kapow Meggings and went for their Nightrider model which is black and shiny with a metallic finish. When I tried them on, OMG! What a feeling! They are really tight and clung to my body like a second skin. They feel really stretchy and are very comfortable to wear. I have worn my meggings out on the town and they have really attracted a lot of female attention!

So guys, get into meggings and you won't be just at a party, you will be the party!

You mean Leggings right? The other name is just silly its like manscara and man bag just silly names. Its totally cool to wear leggings, mascara or even a handbag, etc. I do not see why they need to have a separate name just because a man is wearing them. Wear what you want as long as you happy and don't worry what anyone else thinks about it.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Totally agree! Leggings are leggings and a bag is a bag! Thanks for your words of encouragement. I feel that men need to be liberated from boring men's fashion and need to be more adventurous in their clothing choices like women.

My husband wears these. He calls them meggings. At first I was surprised and didn't understand but being the supportive other half we sat down and talked about it. We went out shopping and I helped him find things that go with them. Now they are just part of his wardrobe. I think above is right though, people should just wear want they want and be happy. I think society has become accustom to men and women wearing clothes that are gender neutral.

Wouldn't be my style; men's fashion is moving towards looser fits so we'll soon see the end of skinny jeans and leggings. Personally I find looser jeans more comfortable and my casual style would be more along this line (skate t-shirt, loose jeans, Vans, etc). My suit style would be tailored fit with tighter trousers so good to have that contrast!

Question though - if you are wearing meggings, isn't your arse on full display then? Or do you wear a longer t-shirt or shirt to cover? I know for girls they would usually do this, unless they are particularly proud of their behind (which you do see in fairness).

I'm just picture guys like this:

Your husband is so lucky to have such an understanding wife. Men should be able to express themselves through their clothing and not be ashamed of their bodies. You must get your husband a pair of Kapow Meggings for Christmas!!

Maybe it's time for bold Irish men to throw off the yoke of oppression of centuries of wearing wide leg trousers with cuffs in chunky tweeds and herringbones. As we, the proud descendants of manly Celts and Vikings, march off to battle, pike in hand, let us the new Fenians bravely face death in our meggings, man bra, and maybe a cute little pair of lacey thong panties. Our battle cry "I'm free, I'm free. No boxer shorts for me."

Actually, I think people should dress up as they wish and if you like the look, why not? Who am I to judge? Just be prepared for a certain amount of disapproval.

From my own observations, skinny jeans are still fashionable for men. Skin tight jeans are not for every man, so each to his own.

As regards wearing meggings and displaying my arse, I am proud of my rear! I wear short tops with my meggings because I am not ashamed or embarrassed about my body and don't feel the need to cover up.

Only actual skinny guys can get away with this sort of stuff. You still look ridiculous but you get away with it.

If you're carrying any sort of weight at all though, you look like a ****in' idiot.

What is it with these threads that crop up every so often? Always about mens skinny jeans or man leggings and how they feel against their skin.

I am very confident in wearing my meggings and wear them regularly while shopping and socializing. Wondering what you mean by ' things unexpectedly coming up '.

Now I get it! You mean that I might get excited while wearing my meggings and that it would show! Wearing the correct underwear is the way such an embarrassing situation can be avoided. Underwear that will keep everything in place and in an upright position.

You can wear underwear with them? Wouldn't that be uncomfortable unless it is a thong?

I wear them while cycling, my bum looks fantastic in them. I quite enjoy all the wolf whistles.

Yes, you can wear underwear with meggings. I wore briefs with mine at first but I now wear a dance belt. The beauty of the dance belt is that it is padded at the front which keeps everything in place and gives a smooth appearanc and the T-back avoids unsightly VPL.

Good jaysus and I thought skinny jeans was bad.

These threads come and go. It'll be back to Black Skin tight leather jeans for the next thread.

I wear leggings when I go out for a run, other than that noone needs to see 'frog eyes'. The day I use VPL about my own underwear I will give back my male membership identity.

Meh. Wouldn't be wearing them; they're too restrictive. Would more likely go the opposite direction, and get a pair of phat pants!

Mod Note: Please dial back the "real men" talk, it's really not helpful to the discussion. This is a fashion forum and that includes fashion for all genders.

Actually, meggings are the most comfortable lower body wear imaginable. Feels like one is wearing nothing!

If theyre comfortable and make you feel good then go for it, dont worry about what anyone else thinks. Leggings are so practical and comfortable, especially in Summer when its too hot for pants but you dont want to show your legs, they should be apart of everyone's wardrobe imo. Go for it.

I wear my meggings as everyday clothing. For a garment to be described as ' fetish wear ' , it must be reserved for some special event or setting.

And when you actually don’t ‘got it’?

I mean, if you’re dressing like some sort of Celtic-Farmer-Batman, you can’t really say you have ‘it’...

    Jeggings, meggings, leggings. WTF.

    Anyway, nice trolling there OP.

Point taken! When women in the 1960s started to wear mini skirts and skin tight jeans, such garments were considered to be extreme and provocative at the time, but not nowadays. Likewise, meggings/leggings for men will eventually become mainstream fashion.
