Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I remain very unconvinced by the league having seen a few games throughout the season and tonight's game. A league like that run how it is should of course be growing year by year, as it is doing. However I don't think the quality of play is all that good, I notice a lot of the games have some really poor defending, which in turn leads to goals when then in turn leads to more 'exciting' matches in that sense, but still lacking in quality quite a bit imo.

There is a lack of quality overall but the product itself is very good, easily the best matches ive watched in 2015 have been MLS games. Poor defending is rife in many leagues, especially England. The area i feel lets MLS down is the creative side, playmakers, people who can take hold of the ball and just do things on the spot, outside of the DP's those players arent around.

Of course there is poor defending in every league, but I certainly don't think England, as the example given, is on the same level of poor defensive quality as the MLS. I find games are quite mechanical and while everything that surrounds it (the over the top positive commentary, the active crowds etc) is interesting I think a lot of that masks a reasonably poor quality still.

And some frankly bizarre commentary. This example is from the game last night, "They were like a deer in headlights for the first 7 minutes...then the lights came back on."

This is not a joke :D

Will Ferrell: Actor is co-owner of Los Angeles FC in MLS
American comedy actor Will Ferrell has been named as a co-owner of new Major League Soccer franchise Los Angeles FC.
The 48-year-old is part of a 26-strong ownership group that also includes basketball legend Magic Johnson and former USA women's striker Mia Hamm.
QPR director Ruben Gnanalingam and Cardiff City chairman Vincent Tan are also involved.
The franchise will enter the MLS from 2018 and will be the city's second club, competing with LA Galaxy.
Ferrell, best known for comedy films such as Elf and Anchorman, said: "This is not a joke. I'm actually a member of this fine ownership group and it's very exciting."
He added his three sons play the game and his wife played at Pomona College.
Managing partner Henry Nguyen acknowledged the ownership group may seem "cumbersome".
But he added: "It's a joy to have such a collection of incredibly successful, experienced, talented people contributing their ideas."
LAFC will play in a purpose-built 22,000-seat stadium in the south of the city, adjacent to the University of South California's American football stadium.

He's not the only one, Drew Carey is part owner of Seattle, basketball player Steve Nash is co-owner of Portland so it's not uncommon here.

And it's Hollywood so of course we need a movie:
