Hi . Just looking does anyone have the same passion for weird large waves such as myself. The odd time in DL, when the weather is just right ( I havnt figured out what makes them yet) . But the odd time they cover the piers and the 40ft can be leathal. Ayone else notice this . Or is it just me? Anyone know what causes them?

    Could it be the ferry....

Heard of swimmers being warned by fellas in small boats to leave water as the ferry comes in, goes out.

Hehe the Ferry Wave! Mythical amongst surfers :)
I thought they slowed down the ferry because fishermen were being swept off the rocks.
    How big is the wave?
