If you have a decent interest in Irish History, there are a few really good events this year:

Bunratty Heritage Park are having a multi-period weekend on the first weekend of July; over a hundred reenactors from around the country (and some UK reenactors), with large living history displays.

Kells Medieval Festival, from the 9th to the 11th of July; 200 reenactors, large battle, medieval trading village.

Feile Brian Boru, in Ballina/Killaloe, co. Tipperary.
