Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

McGrath off. looks like the wrist

    Brilliant from Cooney

Ulster fairly relentless here but sloppy in parts.

Two break downs in a row in at the side but got away with it.

    Cooney really setting the tone.

Big fan of Cooney. He doesnt have the best pass in the world but has real mettle. makes good decisions and marshals the pack .

Tough baptism at this level for Rea so far, he needs to learn fast or he'll be lucky to make the 2nd half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,861 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

Started well enough. Addison is as smooth as silk. Hopefully he can get a run of games injury free.

    FFS, another injury blow.

Heaslip is excellent on co-com. & terrible in the off the pitch stuff.
    its weird

    Ah Cooney....

Great determination there to march Bath up to their 5m.

Back three look indecisive and have been caught a few times on foot of poor or slow decision making.

Cooney should have slotted that kick but he's been brilliant for Ulster, running the show despite a few notable errors.

    Marty Moore putting himself about.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,849 ✭✭✭ionadnapokot

Cooney would want to wipe away that smirk lively, one of the worst kicks I've witnessed. Ulster fortunate to be in front at H/T.

nearly as bad as Sextons v Wales in 2018

Somebody I just find it very hard to listen to for some reason. Feels like he's too eager to fill gaps in between play and ends up stating the obvious or resorting to cliche with a forced delivery, similar to, though not as bad as Fitzgerald.

Dont enjoy the dynamic of 3 commentators in general anyway, very hard to make it come across as natural. Reminds me of the terrible half time shows in the Nfl where there's 5 or 6 lads around a table each delivering their own sassy pitch.

    Any stream available?

Fitzgerald is excruciating. Followed by D'Arcy, BOD and Shane Williams

Heaslip offers a bit of insight at least.

Channel 4 and Virgin 1. Not sure of streams.

Luke Marshall has been impeccable in defence so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 589 ✭✭✭baas baa

Ugh, replay is ugly viewing for Marshall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,188 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Both teams have been terrible.

    Skill levels are shocking.

That picture in picture is the saddest thing I have seen on BT

An this is a channel that that simulates ticks in the studio

    Great Kick!
    & Henderson playing Scrum Half!

  • Registered Users Posts: 589 ✭✭✭baas baa

Cooney has stones in them situations, there are TH props who pass the ball better when on the run than Luke Marshall.

Jaysus Addison. He’s been good otherwise

Mad miss alright, but Lyttle caught ball watching and completely lost where his man was.
Twp Ulster defenders marking the same man who didn't even end up getting the ball.

The level of praise for the try is ridiculous, it was shocking defending with no mitigating factors.

End goal area v small at the Rec

    Some introduction for Hammer-Webb

Yes, a nice story and worthy of praise but why devalue it by going blatantly over the top with only a passing mention of the defending.

    im liking O'Sullivan

This has been a very low quality match.

F**k it though, an away win is an away win.

    That is outstanding from Stockdale.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,849 ✭✭✭ionadnapokot

Stockdale makes a good read in defense! Rejoice!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,188 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Think that Bath tip on was forward. But a brilliant intercept from Stockdale all the same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,721 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

What a finish to the game, superb stuff from Stockdale.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Inspector Coptoor

    What a tackle/dispossession from Stockdale.

Looked like a certain try to win it for Bath.

Cooney and Coetzee are the main men in that team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,861 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

    Stockdale's defence eh...

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

Stockdale has come from a mile back to make that intercept as well. Incredible finish.

The silence from the co-commentator was lovely at the end. Great ending.

Would love to go to a game in the Rec, great ground
