    He was in the episode where "Poochie" is added to the Itchy & Scratchy lineup.

    They're sitting in the kitchen at breakfast... Lisa (or Bart maybe) says something like "I hate it when they add pointless new characters to a show just to boost ratings", then in walks Roy. "Morning Roy!" says Marge, to which Roy responds "Yo, Mrs. S! What's happening"...

    Actually Bender appears in the Simpsons (at least once, maybe twice). In the PBS phone in charity episode where Homer runs off to an island to convert the natives. At the very end Bender is one of the people on the phones taking pledges.
