Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First time LPG user in rental

Like the look of a single house to rent - one query is that it had an LPG/propane bulk tank outside for heat and water. Need to ask the agent if there’s a rental fee on the tank (so I gather here!) but is there anything else I should be aware of when it comes to this or any big negatives to bulk tank gas? always just had apartments with electric everything before!!

Apply for a pay rise or overtime, you'll need the money.

It should state in you're lease if your liable for tank rental or just fuel cost.
Its a question for landlord or estate agent.

Yeah will chat to him Monday - costs that bad then? It’d be the one downside of the place

LPG is one of the most expensive forms of heating. Tank rental is about 140 Ish depending on whether it's a calor it Flogas tank.
Tank rental in my opinion should be landlord responsibility, but check your lease.

Thanks, I’ll clarify the tank rental tomorrow hopefully and then see if the costs are off the wall for heating and water. What’s the appeal of off mains gas if it’s costly?

Natural gas is a different type of gas and has a much better heating value per unit. Some rural houses like lpg cos lpg gas can't be stolen like oil, doesnt smell and the gas burns cleaner.
The balls with LPG is the user is stuck with Calor or Flogas as a supplier depending on whose tank you have.
