Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just in case anyone is thinking of getting one of these from Satworld as a present for someone I'd try and avoid it.

Ordered last friday with their next day delivery and only received it today. Also the box was battered to hell, so much so that I'm actually going to have to unpack it and try and use it this evening to make sure it isn't borked.
Also they only came in stock everywhere in the last 2 days so thats probably why u only go it today...
on satsklep again too for like 66 quid

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,336 ✭✭✭✭Tony

Yeah thats true, sounds like this was a pre order and not next day delivery.

I have contacted them and am awaiting their reply. However in all my experience of buying stuff on line I have never had something come to me in as bad as state as this, and in terms of distance this has probably had one of the shortest distances a package has had to travel to get to me.

When I ordered there was no indication that this was out of stock as it is one thing I checked and if they did then find out it was out of stock they didn't bother conveying this to myself.

Perhaps the courier messed it up but I'm sure the guys there will do their utmost to put this right, they are a very reputable company. What did they say when you contacted them ?

Oh I have no doubts they are a reputable company and I'm sure a lot of people are quite happy with their service, however I wanted to support an Irish company when buying this and this is why I didn't just order off satsklep, however in my case buying Irish seems to have been a bad decision. As I'm now in the run up to christmas with something that arrived later then I was expecting and now I will have to wait even longer to get a replacement.

I'm sorry but thats just plain wrong, it was very clear on the page that it was a pre order and I say this as a competitor of theirs.

Having said that of course it should have arrived in much better condition.

Is it broken ? Or is it just the state of its arrival ?

They have a drop in shop in Kimmage.........

@shlob I use a Logitech Harmony remote with mine, you could try this one: http://www.peats.com/cgi-bin/catalog_v2.cgi?type=product&id=28326

It's not the same as mine, but I would imagine it should work.

Yes unless the firmware you use had a channel list already built in.

OK so just the last firmware update I got from yourself had three rock all ready to rock and roll. If I scan when its connect should I be able to slot them in the 1,2 3 etc slots handy enough?
    Cheers

They will automatically be added to the end of the list. You can then move them easily to the 1,2,3 slots using the menu.

I've followed the fix, and yes I got RTE1+1 but I lost RTE Jnr, then I scanned before 7pm and got RTE Jnr but lost RTE1+1 and so it goes on. I have never had the two channels at the same time.

Hi I am on the Mahera Transmitter and have this issue for ages, it only happened after the last two firmware upgrades.

I emailed fergurson twice about this but nothing back.

Could the other folks who have this issue highlight it to fergurson aswell.

i would say it would be an easy thing for them to fix. it would be great to have it fixed. i have young kids and its a nuisance as i have to lose rte 1 +1 in order to have rte jnr and vice versa

Also Tony i uploaded the last channel list but i notice that you only use astra 2a , this doesnt cover all the uk free to air channnels does it ?
eg bbc 3 bbc 4 and some of the news channels,

    thanks

Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I've just ordered one of these and have a quick question.

I plan on using my Sky satellite dish for the British stations but I've already used all four outputs (or inputs I don't really know) on the actual dish.

Are there any splitters etc that I could use to get around this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,242 ✭✭✭chordtype

    Much appreciated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,157 ✭✭✭Compton

No problem, if you have the old style MK3 dish you will need an additional adapter. Legacy I think its called.

Anyone know a way to get the PVR function to resume? If playback is interrupted for any reason (e.g. timer start, change of display settings, stop playback to check a live broadcast) then playback restarts from the beginning which is a PITA.

I don't know but you can seek though. After you hit info it's one of the coloured buttons followed by the left or right arrow.
