Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cowl on disused chimney

05-12-2019 6:24pm#1We had our fireplace removed and bricked up. It has a stove in it. I think it was bunged with earthwool insulation, so I think this would get mouldy if left damp. A generic cowl was fitted on the top. I think a disused chimney cowl/cap should be used because it will keep our a lot more rain. How much does this matter?
The cowl that was put on looks roughly like this:
The gap is pretty high so some rain would still get in. I might just replace it myself. Is that a bad idea?0
