I like Stones and think he definitely has potential and will be a good player in the league...............but like I said in the previous thread after all the people posting about the need for a proven, world class, experienced CB that could be a leader in our defence I fail to see how they can be happy with Stones.

We need a top class leader of a centre half not another 20 yo promising player.

Only thing I can see is Everton made enquires after him two weeks ago to no avail, Mancini is currently deciding on the Inter 25 man squad, if he frees up I hope we resign him.

I don't, was terrible at times for Inter last season, backwards move IMO

We could do with the height is what I would be thinking, one sort of bad season wouldn't put me off and more importantly would hate to see him line up against us in the league.

not many of those around though is there really. Stones is proven in the league. Would be a serious upgrade on our defence, is English and would be around for the next 10 years.

pre-season matches done now so not much point

However setanta doing a month for a euro, and we have two games on with them in the first month. That's a good shout

vidics best years were 4,5 6 years ago. he went backwards seriously after his injury. His last season at United was very poor, last season at Inter, in a slower league was even worse. Cant ever see him playing in England again. He has too much pride and loves united.

John Stones is 6'2, just turned 21. I'm all aboard the john Stones ship now, think he would be a brilliant signing for us

Its probably an extra 500k, not like he is on 10k a week, he is on around 230k
