Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

And Although Ireland doesn't allow Dutch tourists, I don't see anything that suggests Irish visitors are restricted...

Yes correct Ireland currently isn't on the Dutch quarantine list (although those lists are dynamic and our numbers are rising so anyone traveling should check the list again before going): https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/tackling-new-coronavirus-in-the-netherlands/travel-and-holidays/self-quarantine

But of course there is a requirement to self-isolate upon return to Ireland.

Phase 3 have nothing to do with the green list and foreign travel; it gives recommendation in relation to domestic travel only. You are free to fly to non green list countries (including Netherlands), but you will be asked to restrict your movements on the return (not legally binding). There could also be restrictions on the arrival in other countries, but as someone already said, doesn't seem like there are any in Netherlands for Irish citizens.

Thanks JoJo, yeah I get there will be a quarantine involved upon return. I just was not sure if Id be allowed to travel. I was finding it all a bit confusing

Just seems weird though, you are restricted in county, but you can go to the airport :)

No-one will prevent you from flying, but I believe the the government still says travel should be avoided unless it is essential (which I think might have practical implications in terms of things like travel insurance shall something go wrong).

That is why I was curious as to whether you might be questioned at the airport, if your travel was essential or not. Would you have to prove it was essential and if so how to prove it??

Check that your travel insurance is still valid before you do non essential travel, the EHIC is only good for treatment in an EU/EEA country not getting you home.

No one is going to question you. Even during the lockdown there was no travel ban.

The Isle of Man is not part of the UK and is currently closed to non-residents without special permission.

According to the Irish Examiner, Dubliners are not allowed to travel abroad except for essential service, even to Green listed countries for the next 3 weeks. Would I eligible for a refund ? I have a flight with Ryanair to Greece this Friday.

You defo won't get a refund unless all the flights out of Dublin are grounded...

Go on your holidays, enjoy it, no one will stop you..
