Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just picked up a Tactix woodworking combination square for €8.68 in woodies today

Tested it on digital meter and its more accurate then the Stanley version at €24 (€30 before discount).

Plus it has a brass thumb nut which is vastly superior to the plastic crap on the Stanley Combo Square which if over tightened and results in a very expect 300mm ruler.

    Likely to get me another.

The only good thing about travelling about in the back of my dad's transit van as a child was playing with his square. It's a gun, and the 8 year old me won't hear otherwise.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Got to do a test on the accuracy of the Woodies one. Also it have a marking pin in the handle

    Woodies Irish, Screwfix English

Certainly you could buy the Magnusson would be a good buy if as accurate - but you can't test it before purchase.

Sorry no link on the Woodies site for it - thanks Davy

I believe the Screwfix one also has a marking pin. I would personally not consider it a bargain then if you can get an equivalent with good reviews for cheaper just because you don't have the equivalent to test and which for all we know may be even more accurate.

You are correct it does have a scribing pin and may well be on similar if not better accuracy.

We will leave it there so
